Hyokiyure (表記ゆれ, spelling variants)（hyōki-yure）

Multiple ways of writing the same name — e.g. キヤノン, キャノン, Canon, CANON. Mention tracking in AI answers misses real mentions unless variants are matched together.

Notes

Japanese brands typically have many spellings: katakana, Latin script, abbreviations, legacy names. AI assistants use different variants depending on context, so naive single-string matching systematically undercounts mentions.

For GEO measurement this makes an alias list per brand — matched with morphological analysis — a precondition of accurate visibility data. Suparanku supports up to 50 aliases per brand and highlights mentions across all variants.
